Another Sabatoeur
Another Sabatoeur!
This is the really menacing one! The really nasty one!
The one almost everyone deals with sooner or later. This one’s name is ‘not good enough’!
Does this sound familiar?
So many of my clients deal with exactly the same thing — this nasty inner voice that keeps them from going for the gold. In fact, this is the one who convinces you that your dreams are too big, too silly, too unrealistic!
Don’t you hate that last one? Every time someone tells me that I need to be realistic, I cringe. No, actually — I want to scream.
Sometimes I even stick out my tongue at them (imagine the sass!). I should be ashamed?
Let me reassure you, I don’t go around punching people, and I don’t usually scream at people either. But when someone tells me that I’m being a pollyanna, or I’m indulging myself in pipe dreams, I do get my knickers in a knot. I consider myself a reasonable individual, sensible, and logical. I know my talents[gifts]; I know what things I’m not good at, and I definitely know what life can bring [offer] me. Yes, even before I had a Life Coach, I had made a dream board.
Now, in my living room, where I have my ‘future self’ chair, all three of my dream boards are posted[hung]. I’m grateful for them as reminders of where to focus and what direction to head. My dreamboad has power in it — this I know for sure. I was amazed when someone in my family looked at one of my dream boards and noted that most of the items on it were now actually in my life! WoW!
That’s encouraging, because if there is one thing I know for sure, that thing was NOT in my life when I pasted it to one of my dream boards.
But I digress. There is a point to this, I promise, and it does have to do with being or not being good enough. Well here’s the thing: if you aren’t dreaming, it may be because someone has convinced you that you aren’t good enough to dream that. Or you may have convinced yourself of that.
Perhaps you have this inner sabatoeur. And if you do, I can tell you that you aren’t having all the joy and fun you need and deserve. I speak from experience here — and not just my own!
Both my male and female clients have told me over the years, that this sabaoteur is the one they are most challenged by. And I’ve helped [assisted] them accept the fact that they ARE good enough. And I’ve been able to lead them to a place where [they know] it’s OK to dream, and even better to dream BIG!
You can listen to that nagging[nasty] inner voice — the one that wants to keep you small and keep you from dreaming. And then, do what you know you want to do anyway. And go ahead, tell yourself you are more than Good Enough. If you, or someone you love needs help with this, please get in touch with us. One of our Life Coaches will be thrilled to help you. You can reach us at http://www.fun-wey.com or call us at 888-401-8884. Treat yourself to what you know you need.
Perhaps I’ll hear from you soon,
